BetterPrice vs TopCashback
TopCashback is one of the largest cashback platforms in the world - particularly dominant in the UK, with a serious US presence too. It rebates 1–10% of qualifying purchases at partner retailers. Like all cashback programs, it is a delayed rebate model. You shop normally, you wait, you get a percentage back later. The savings are real but bounded.
Where TopCashback works
At its partner retailers, for purchases you would have made anyway, TopCashback adds 1–10% back to your bottom line. For high-volume shoppers buying from major chains, those rebates add up over a year.
Where it cannot help
Most aggressive markups online happen on stores that are not on TopCashback's partner list. The boutique Shopify fitness store charging $156 for a $59 dip station is not TopCashback territory. The dropshipper reselling AliExpress products at 4x markup is not on the list. TopCashback cannot rebate what it cannot see.
BetterPrice runs on those stores anyway, because it does not need a partnership to compare prices. It just checks Amazon and other major retailers for the same brand and model.
The honest answer
TopCashback rebates are nice extras on shopping you would have done anyway. BetterPrice catches purchases you should never have made at all. Run both - they do not conflict, and BetterPrice does the heavier lifting.
